Marshall Middle School Bicycle Recycle Program
By Holli W.
The Bickel/Fulton team has been recycling damaged bike to raffle off or sell and the money to people in need. This is the first official bike they have done in about 2 years. The red bike they have been working on will go to Marshall Middle School’s CARE fundraiser. The kids that are working with Mr. Fulton said they liked getting dirty and working with the wheels and chains. This is a hard task and they have little tools. If you have any old tools or kind of in good shape bikes they would much like it! Great Job Bickel/Fulton team, keep it up!!

Limericks
By Christafien D.
Weeds begin to sprout,
Gardeners sadly pout,
The largest weed is mighty stout,
And the gardener asked, “what is this about,”
Now all the gardeners do is shout.
A tiny but smiling sea horse,
Had the color of the sun hitting a golf course,
He shined through the depths of the ocean,
Gave his dear talent his devotion,
Lately he is as bright as his happy emotion.

Marshall Clean up
Friday is our Marshall clean up day. We have people signed up to take care of so many areas on our campus. Thanks to the maintenance department we have freshly cut grass and now we can put some finishing touches on some areas. Our flower beds are getting an upgrade, the wetlands are going to be cleaned up, the front sign is getting some much needed "sprucing", the track shed will get a new coat of paint, the native plant garden is getting cleaned out and much more. I'm truly excited about this great Marshall pride and spirit. Taking good care of our building and surrounding grounds is a good way to honor our school. Like I've said before....It's a great day to be a Mustang. --Posted By John Hitchman to Marshall Roundup Student News at 4/30/2008 08:34:00 PM

Track and field
By: Jessica and Holli
The Marshall sport season that is going on right now is track and field. Our first meet is on May 1st. our track is going under semi construction. Some volunteers came to the school last Saturday to work on the track. The willing volunteers re-did the long jump pit. They also worked on getting the track run able. The hard work paid off, but they are only half way done. This Saturday they will be working on the track from 10a.m to 1p.m. If you can help the school we would much appreciate it.
Smoothies on Friday
Smoothies on Friday
By Holli
The smoothie bar was open again today. They had some new flavors strawberry and banana and peach flavored. Mrs. Chase is in charge of it and she said that it take about 10 lbs of strawberries to make smoothies for the Marshall School each Friday.
I felt they were good and had nice thickness to it. It was only a dollar and very healthy. Parents running it will be doing it every Friday. I am looking forward to next week.
